Situation 1: "Bhaiya ek Whisper dena", I said in a hush tone in a medical shop. The shopkeeper could not hear me as there were many customers buying medicines. I was the only 29-years old married woman standing in between two men and asking for a pack of sanitary napkin. “Bhaiya ek Whisper dena”, this time I asked in a loud tone and two men immediately look
at me as if I am a culprit.
Situation 2: I was at my home and
suddenly one of my in-laws (not to
mention the name) asked me “you bleed so less, you are OK Na”... I was
shocked and thought “what’s wrong? Did you check my used napkins in the waste basket?
No, please, its so unhygienic and I was left speechless. Should I need to bleed
gallons to show that I am a woman?
Situation 3: I was a 13-year old kid
having period for the first time and top of that my final examination was
also scheduled in the same week. My stomach cramp was impossible to bear and then my
father entered the room. After seeing me in this condition, he said “This is
normal thing Beta, you are a grown up girl and this pain will come and go, but
that does not mean you will leave your studies. Get up and study to score good
marks.” That day, a 13-year old was angry on her father, but Dad was so true in
his words. Actually, he was most positive person I have ever seen in my life.
All
these situations are my personal experiences. Yes, you read it right! Apart
from these above situations, there were many situations I faced like stains on
my white Kurti while traveling in Metro with my Father and many more. But, I
was never got any negative attitude from my parents. It can happen to anyone.
It is a biological cycle after all and if you are a woman, you should be proud
of your Periods because you will become a future Mother. What is the best feeling
more than becoming a Mother?
Taboos
on Periods are on the minds of the people. Unless the minds of the people are
free from this clutter, no one can stay and live a healthy life. The matter of
hygienic, unhygienic and taboo with sanitary napkins and Menstruation cycle not
only prevail in underprivileged society, but also in houses who are educated,
smart and belongs to an well-to-do-family.
So,
lets break this Taboo and myth because "Period is Bold and Bold is always Sexy."
Naari's effort towards the awareness on Periods Myth and Taboos and How to adopt Green Period is commendable. Support this effort and please share your valuable comments.

Today is Janmasthami (the day Lord Krishna was born) and Thursday, a very auspicious day. Thursaday is a day of Goddess Lakhsmi and Bengalis worship this day on every week in the name of Goddess Lakshmi.
Just now, I got the news that one of my University friend deliver a Baby Boy and both of them are fine. Its a great news for our friends's group. As we Indians say, "Ladoo Gopal aya hai uske ghar mein".... Little God Krishna arrived her home. I am also very happy and excited.
Since my childhood, I have seen grand celebration in my Mommyland. My mother consider Little Krishna as her son and consider Him as our family member. Her affection towards Him sometimes make me feel jealous. But, I really enjoyed the different kinds of Prasad Maa used to prepare on this auspicious day. I was really fond of having them at one go. (Hi Hi Hi)
This year, I celebrate Janmasthami in a small affair. I woke up at 5.00 AM and organize the Puja Room and decorate the room nicely. Then, I move to kitchen to prepare Prased for the Ladoo Gopal. I prepared a sweet dish in the name of Lord Krishna and My Husband appreciate my effort after the Puja. (Happy Me)
I am going to share the recipe of Rava Ladoo today:

Happy Janmasthami To all of You!
What a #MondayMusings Post Corinne! Reading your post gives me the courage to write about my ""Brick Wall" condition. Actually, each one of us pass through this situation at one point of time and like You, I am also sailing in the same boat.
August is already in a mood to say us Bye Bye
and I am still struggling with my current website because as promised, it did
not launch in the month of June and I am late by 2 months. There is so huss and
fuss going in my personal and personal life that I am hardly left with energy to
write a nice blog post. That’s why; I am also away for weeks from my Baby Blog.
No, it is not an excuse but I am not left with any other option.
My books on the shelf are untouched and my mind
hardly has any free space to think about an interesting topic to share with
you. My social Media pages also went to sleep and feel like Äm I too Late or
too Busy””.
Practically, I lost my ME time as well as
connections with my fellow bloggers and readers. It’s really painful.
But, not any more I will be trying to be
regular if not daily, but at least weekly to give some food to my Blog.
I need for your blessings for my website to be
launched soon and it should not be delayed anymore. #PleasePray
Love you Loads
Happy Blogging!
It's been almost a week that Kolkata is under water. Its raining cats and dogs because of the low pressure created on the Bay of Bengal. It seems that Life has become STILL and it is mossy everywhere. Oh Yah! I love rains if I am not going out. But, Sad me! Everyday is a working day for me and I just wish this rain just go away.
I took a gap from blog as I was busy with my studies and other work commitments. Yes, guys I have taken up 3-months course on Digital Marketing to enhance my knowledge on Digital Marketing. The subject is very interesting, you have no idea how the trend is changing each and every day. Though my life was not so happening during this phase, but still I love to be back in my college days. Where there are chairs and tables, whiteboard, projector, a teacher and a room full of students. It's amazing!
Professionally, more responsibilities adorn on my shoulder and I really did not find any rejuvenation after office. Sometimes, I feel I could have taken a leave from office. But then, sitting idol without writing any content is just so boring. I am totally in love of writing different topics!. If I count my Personal life, I have become more balanced and learned to manage everything at its own space. Recently, my parents also came to Kolkata and visit my place and I was really in my happy zone. As Buddha says, "Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."
In the midst of all responsibilities, I never forget my ME time and I took a bold step of coloring my hair. It is for the first time that I colored my hair and it is my husband's continuous poke to color my hair. I was very speculative, but finally gave a chance to my thought and the result is below:
How was it Guys?
