This winter, my friend went to Shimla for honeymoon. In her words, “It is an unforgettable experience. I and my partner enjoyed the most romantic ambiance during snowfall.”

With these beautiful words of my friend, Shimla is a perfect honeymoon destination. Due to its scenic beauty, it attracts a lot of visitors throughout the year. It is not only a visiting place for the Indians, but for the foreigners too. Many foreigners mainly couples select Shimla as their perfect destination for honeymoon purposes.

Where is it?

Shimla is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh and is exactly located at the northwestern part of the Himalayan Mountain Range. Mandi and Kullu bound the city in the north, Kinaur in the East, Solan and Sirmaur to the South and the state of Uttarakhand in the South-West.

Weather in Shimla

Shimla weather is very pleasant throughout the year. So, couple may select any month for their trip. However, September to June is the best time for this purpose.

In winter temperature varies from 8⁰c to -2⁰c. This time is awesome to enjoy snowfall, skiing and ice-skating. During Summer, scenic beauty is pleasant and clear. Moreover, the temperature varies from 15⁰ c to 30⁰c. Snow can still be seen at very high altitudes. Monsoon is not the ideal time for honeymooning due to heavy rainfall.
