Day 2: Purulia (Kashipur Rajbari, Joychandi Hills and Garpanchkot

05:10

Day 2 we headed to another part of Purulia and our first stop after an hour of drive was:

Kashipur Rajbari- It is an old heritage Rajbari of Puru Dynasty. The successor of the dynasty still live in this building. Some of the portions of the Rajbari is in dilapidated state. We cannot enter inside the building because we had very less time to take permission from nearby Police Station. Yes, to enter this Rajbari, you need prior permission.

Joychandi Hill- It is our next halt. At the top of the hill, there is "Mata ki Mandir"and "Hanuman Mandir". To reach there, you need to take only 330 stairs. But, the stairs are well maintained, clean and the scenic view from the top of the hill is just awesome.

Garpanchkot- This is another 1 hour drive that we take after our lunch by a roadside Dhaba. This place is away from city life and if you want peace, then this place can become your best place. there are many Eco-tourism resorts available particularly in this place. Prior booking is mandatory to avoid the rush of season time October- March.
