Like Vicks, I believe in the power of touch and that’s why my Papa’s each hug acts as a relief. I am very close to my Papa and he is my backbone in all my activities. There is no reason for a hug to your father. When I am happy, I hug my him, when I am down, I hug him and our bond is boundless. Being the only daughter, my parents attention was only me (not pampered), but to make a strong human being. He always treats me as “I am no less than a boy child” and encourage me for an independent life, a good career and a rocking future.

I still remember how he supports me during my college admission away from home, learning scooty riding, let me work away from hometown and so on. Each time an incident happened in my life I cuddle in my papa’s arms and hug me to get support. I am blessed to have him, my “Daddy Cool”. He has many nicknames like- “papu”, “pops”, “popcorn”, He he he and an interesting part is that, he responses to all these names. Back then, when Maa used to sit with me on my study table during an afternoon time, I used to count time when “Tick Tock” will give the signal of 5 pm and I can hear the sound of his boots and understand that Papa is back home after a tiring day work. Despite of being tired, he accompanied me to a nearby playground to play football (he is a district level footballer too in his days), badminton with me.

It is the hug that still flashes in my mind was during my “Vidaai” and step out forever from my father’s home to start a new journey with my husband and my family now. We didn’t exchange any words. I just hug him tight and tears roll down my eyes. That day, I saw for the first time my Papa is crying. There was a time when he used to hold my wrist to cross the road, now, he is the one who gave the hands of his little princess to an unknown person’s hand. Yes, I believed that the men also cry.

I love you Papa. This Father’s Day, I give you a big hug as your gift for such a wonderful life that you show me with loads of kisses. Muaahhh,muaahhh, muaah….

Safety measures for women travelers

An increasing number of rape and molestation cases force the women of today, to think twice about a solo trip. Women travel to different places because of a business trip, educational meet or just to have fun. Unlike men, women travelers face a lot of problems when they move out of their comfort zone. That does not mean you will stop traveling and will not pursue your dream.

Today, I will share some safety measures for all you women travelers. These measures help me a lot when I travel alone.

Risk assessment: It is better to have an assessment of the risk factors that you can face when you are alone in an unknown land. Get the details of the destination hat you are planning to visit and what are current situation of the place. It will help you take genuine measures before traveling to that particular place.

Self defense items in your handbags: You must keep the small and foldable knife, mid-length rope and peppermint spray in your handbag. These self defense items will keep your attackers away from you. If you find yourself in a bad position, then you can use these items to save yourself.

Note down the local police station number- Once you reach your destination, look for an emergency police station number and note down immediately. It will save you from sudden danger in a different place.

Change your look: If you are on the streets of a new place, dress up very normal and do not carry too much cash. Your appearance should be normal and if anyone asks you “Are you alone”? Say. “No” straightaway. It will help you from future risk in that particular city.

Safety in hotel: When you are in the hotel room, ask for a room which is near the elevator and in the 1^st floor. Do not choose a room near emergency exists.

Traveling in cab: Sit confidently and do not take out the local map of the place. You must research on the route beforehand or use GPS app in your Smartphone. It will keep you safer than anything else.

They just want to enjoy the new place in their own terms and condition. I am a traveler too, and never step out of my house without essential items in my luggage bag. Check out these following items while on a trip and you must take these items in your travel bag to make your trip successful.

Notebook

You must write down the points in the notebook that you will visit in a particular place. For example- If you are traveling to Paris, then write all the famous places of Paris that you want to see on your trip. Trust me, it is a good habit and you will have a track of your trip flawlessly.

There is no doubt that you will take your gadget with you. It is your second life through which you can get many information and stay connected with the world. But, you should keep the charger of a Smartphone in your travel bag so there is no last minute rush.

It is such an item that most travelers overlook. But, you cannot imagine the benefits of an umbrella. Anger....to Control

I cannot believe, I was away from my blog for such a long time. During this long gap I faced many situations in my life and today, I will share one such situation with all my readers.

Anger is not an emotion...It is an entity that grows instantly when something goes wrong with us. I share a quote of Swami Vivekananda which says that anger makes you a slave of a person who creates vibration in your life. Showing anger in a situation is not a wise decision. it can ruin your Present, Future and all your relationships around you.

If you are angry with someone or with any situation, then controlling your mind is a major step that you have to take in your life. You have to win the world with love and happiness and not with anger.

In the past, my anger forces me to react in a situation and this reaction lead to negative things. Right now, I am a person with full confidence who can control my anger in any situation and handle heated situation more confidently

I work on my anger and realized that it is better to Response than to React. Both are different from each other and if you understand the difference, then you can easily cope up your anger.

When a heated situation arise and someone who is close to you says a sentence or word that hurts you, then you must give a response to the situation and avoid the heated words. Reaction to the heart breaking words or sentence can worse the situation more and hamper your relationship.

Ideologies of two people in a discussion can never be same and that is why you should have control in your words and points of the discussion. Whenever I face heated conversation, I try to response in the situation or in worst case I walk out from the conversation.

If you stop the conversation for a small time, then you can have more valid point to say and take more rational decision on the topic.

This is not an one time activity, but it is a practice. After all, "practice makes a man perfect".
I can assure you that it is tough, but nothing is impossible in our life...

Precaution before Holi

Only 1 day left…. Hah!

My dear Holi is there, the festival of colors. Holi, the welcome of spring season. Holi without colors is like pen without ink. What say guys?

Whole year millions of people like me wait for this special festival where I can take my happy revenge with lots of colors. Limitless fun with family, friends and off course with your crush in your locality….

Oh dats too freaky! However, again it’s true even. Hope, I could get my childhood back. For now, memories will do.

Holi colors can be dangerous for our hair and skin. Only just little bit attention, and play safe Holi.

I am ready to take precaution. Are you ready?

Playing Holi with Eco-friendly colors is one of the best ideas. However, you never know what your friends store for you.

It is a boom as always.

Precautions before playing Holi:

Hair- Do overnight oiling with Almond oil or olive oil. The oil will form a coat of layer and protects your hair from dryness and harmful chemicals in the color.

Skin- Rub mustard oil on your hands, feet, faces and on all exposes areas of the body. The oil help you remove the color fast and avoid any kind of dryness. Isn’t it great?

Eyes- Eyes are very delicate part of our body. Tell your friends to put colors on you safely so that you enjoy the colors of this beautiful world.

Now, if you are allergic to mustard oil, then use

· Lotion

· Sunscreen

· Foundation

All above mentioned are effective for Holi colors. After you finish playing Holi, make sure that you also maintain precaution during the removal of colors.

ü Use cold water to remove the colors

ü Do not rub the colors with hard substances or else it will cause itch

ü Your skin will become dry if you wash your face often

ü After bath, use of moisturizer will make your body smooth

Holi brings happiness, fun, and togetherness. The smell of colors in the fresh air leads to another world. In different parts of India, Holi is played in different names and in different forms. However, all-in-all, stay away from harsh chemical colors and do not spoil the essence of the real Holi.
